A 26-year-old man from Kežmar, who was supposed to book short-term accommodation in Trnava and subsequently steal equipment worth thousands of euros from the apartment, is facing charges of theft. The Trnava regional police informed about it.

“The Trnava criminal police identified the male suspect, announced a search for him, on the basis of which colleagues from Liptovský Mikuláš restricted the man’s personal freedom and handed him over to Trnava colleagues. They placed him in a police custody cell,” the police approached.
Based on the evidentiary situation, the investigator charged a 26-year-old man from Kežmark with the crime of theft. “The accused man was supposed to book a short-term accommodation in one of the apartments in Trnava through well-known internet platforms. However, after receiving the keys, he did not use the apartment for living, but focused on its furnishings.” added the police.
The man allegedly stole several electrical appliances from the apartment, including a television, kitchen appliances and a robotic vacuum cleaner. The district investigator filed a motion for his custodial prosecution. If found guilty, he faces a prison sentence of two to eight years. At the same time, the police are checking whether the man committed similar criminal activity in other cities in Slovakia or abroad.
