US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ten-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon could represent an important step towards advancing a peace agreement with Iran.
Following the , on April 7, Israel continued its bombing campaign against Iranian-backed groups in Lebanon, an action that Tehran argued was a violation of the ceasefire and a threat to the fragile truce with Washington.
The United States and Israel insisted that the deal with Iran, claiming there was a “misunderstanding.”
