French actress Nadia Farès died Friday, aged 57, after being found unconscious in a swimming pool in Paris about a week ago and having remained in a coma ever since, her daughters announced.
“It is with immense sadness that we announce the death this Friday of Nadia Farès. France has lost a great artist, but for us it is above all a mother who we have just lost”, wrote Cylia and Shana Chasman, quoted by the French agency AFP.
The actress died at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, where she had been admitted since Sunday, after being pulled unconscious from the swimming pool of a private club in the IX arrondissement of Paris.
Authorities opened an investigation, but so far no infringement has been detected.
