SÃO PAULO, Apr 27 (Reuters) – Intelbras announced this Monday that it purchased land in Manaus (AM) for R$19.4 million as part of its strategy to support the increase in its production capacity.
For the preparation of the land, execution of works and acquisition of manufacturing and administrative infrastructure, the company estimates a total investment of approximately R$200 million over the next 18 months. Financing must combine own and third-party resources, he added.
The land has a total area of approximately 670,000 m² and the main focus in the area is meeting the demand for security solutions.

‘The evaluation of alternatives in Manaus was being actively conducted by the company, and included both the acquisition of land for construction and the possible acquisition of an existing industrial plant. The acquisition, now completed, meets the technical and strategic criteria defined by management and expands the range of options for future expansions, said Intelbras in a statement to the market.
In addition to the increase in capacity, the company said that this investment strengthens its industrial flexibility, ‘creating conditions for operational and production allocation adjustments that may prove necessary in future scenarios, ensuring operational efficiency’.
