Prague – Thousands of people took to the streets in the Czech Republic to show their solidarity with public radio and television broadcasters in the face of planned cuts. They held up banners with slogans such as “Hands off the media” and “Independence has its price.” The movement “One Million Moments for Democracy” called for the rally in the center of Prague. More than 175,000 people also signed an online petition, according to the organizers.
