Vienna/Washington/Munich – US Air Force aircraft triggered alarm take-offs by Austrian Eurofighters on Sunday and Monday. The Eurofighters deployed to the area over the Totes Mountains because at least one of the US planes did not have overflight permission. This was confirmed by the Austrian Ministry of Defense. According to the ministry, the result of another Eurofighter flight to identify two US aircraft on Monday is still pending.
