Graz – The chance of a World Cup ticket has decreased slightly for Austria’s men’s handball national team. Team boss Iker Romero’s team lost the qualifying play-off first leg in the Sportpark Graz against Poland 25:26 (13:15) on Wednesday. The prospects for the second leg on Sunday (3 p.m.) in Olsztyn are not ideal. The World Cup will take place in Germany from January 13th to 31st, 2027. Austria has been represented at every final tournament since 2019 with one exception (2023).
