Boulos: scale is unbalanced between applications and workers

The Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Guilherme Boulos, stated this Tuesday, 19th, that there is an unbalanced balance between the applications and the companies’ workers. The statement was made during the launch of the program that creates lines of credit for app contributors.

At a ceremony in São Paulo (SP), Boulos also recalled the bill to regulate app workers, which was shelved in the Chamber of Deputies after a lack of agreements between companies and drivers.

Boulos created a working group at Palácio do Planalto, to discuss the collaborators’ demands, which were not met by the proposal’s rapporteur, deputy Augusto Coutinho (Republicanos-PE).

Boulos: scale is unbalanced between applications and workers

“The balance is unbalanced today between applications and workers. Unfortunately, the National Congress decided not to move forward with the project that brought benefits to application workers”, said the minister.

This Tuesday, President Lula launched the Move APPs program, which establishes a line of credit for app drivers and taxi drivers to finance and maintain vehicles, in addition to creating working capital. Boulos said that beneficiaries will have better conditions to purchase cars.

According to the Political Broadcast (Grupo Estado’s real-time news system), interest rates lower than Selic will be offered, a grace period of up to six months and financing terms of up to 72 months.
