Without explaining the meeting with Vorcaro, Flávio says he was ‘persecuted’ by the audience of mayors

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for President, complained this Tuesday that he was being persecuted. Without mentioning the links with Daniel Vorcaro, from Master bank, made public with the release of a series of messages and audio, Flávio declared that “the state apparatus” was being used against him.

– We solve Brazil’s problems through politics. I have been in politics for 24 years. All I want for my life is to offer a Brazil for my daughters, which is also a prosperous Brazil for the daughters and sons of everyone present here. Even with all the persecutions, with the entire system wanting to keep things the way they are, with the whole of Brazil looking at Brasília with disgust at the way things are happening, disrespect for the Constitution, legal uncertainty, use of the state apparatus to persecute political opponents – he said.

The statement came during a speech given at the March of Mayors, which this year invited pre-candidates for president to speak to municipal managers.

The parliamentarian also directly criticized the PT, the party of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and said again that, if elected, he will promote an amnesty for everyone involved in the January 8th coup acts, something that would include his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, who is under house arrest after being convicted of leading a coup plot.

– The era of hate will end in 2027 because we will have a government looking forward, without persecution, with institutions once again being subordinated to our Magna Carta, with the Powers functioning in harmony and independence, with the law applying to everyone and with broad, general and unrestricted amnesty for the politically persecuted of January 8th. This is how we will achieve pacification, because it will be the end of the PT era.

Earlier, after a meeting with PL parliamentarians, Flávio admitted to having visited Vorcaro at the end of 2025. The visit took place at the executive’s home, in São Paulo, when he was under house arrest after being detained for the first time.

On Thursday last week, the Intercept Brasil website revealed messages, audios and documents that point to negotiations between Flávio and Vorcaro to finance “Dark horse”, a film about the former president’s political trajectory. According to the publication, the agreement provided for contributions of around R$134 million. Of this total, around R$61 million was transferred.
