Reading of the PEC report on the end of the 6×1 scale is postponed until May 25

The Chamber Plenary will vote on the proposal next week after the conclusion of the analysis in the special committee

Alencar Santana said there are points in the PEC that need to be ‘matured’ and ‘better constructed’

The federal deputy Alencar Santana (PT-SP) announced that the reading of the report on the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that proposes the end of the 6×1 scale he was postponed to Monday (25). The president of the special commission said that he still there are points to be “matured” and “better constructed”like transition from the current working day.

“Two days of rest a week, reducing the working day to 40 hours without [diminuição] salary, this is maintained and guaranteed in the constitutional text. And, at the same time, the strengthening of collective agreement conventions”, stated Alencar in an interview with journalists.

The parliamentarian got together this Tuesday (19) with the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), the PEC rapporteur, Leo Prates (Republicanos-BA), the government leader in Casa Baixa, Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), the federal deputy Reginaldo Lopes (PT-MG) and the ministers Luiz Marinho (Labor and Employment) and José Guimarães (Institutional Relations Secretariat). After the meeting, the postponement of the reading the report that originally was scheduled for Wednesday (20).

To journalists, Leo Prates said that Motta guaranteed the vote on the PEC in the Chamber Plenary next week. According to the rapporteur, the president of Casa Baixa will guide the consideration of the proposal after the procedure in the special committee has been completed.
