Flávio Bolsonaro goes to the United States for a meeting with Trump, says pre-campaign

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for President of the Republic, will go to the United States for a meeting with President Donald Trump. The meeting should take place at the American’s invitation, according to information from his pre-campaign.

The White House has not yet commented on the meeting and possible invitation from the American president.

At the beginning of the month, Trump received President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who is running for re-election, and discussed with him an extensive bilateral agenda, from tariffs on critical minerals and the fight against organized crime. Both reported a positive encounter.

As Estadão showed, Lula sought with the photo and direct dialogue to also prevent Trump from taking sides against him, as he already did, and interfering in the October elections. The PT member, however, denied having discussed possible electoral support for a candidate with the Republican.

The details of Flávio’s visit have not yet been fully disclosed, nor have details of how Trump conveyed the invitation to the opposition pre-candidate.

Flávio’s allies have direct dialogue with those around Trump, in bodies such as the State Department and the White House itself.

Crisis

The PL senator is going through a crisis in his presidential pre-candidacy, due to the disclosure of his links and requests for money from banker Daniel Vorcaro. The contacts and circumstances surrounding the financing of the film “Dark Horse”, about his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, are being investigated by the Federal Police (PF).
