Jorge Jesus commented on the possibility of Marco Silva taking over the technical command of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, showing confidence in the work of the current Fulham FC coach.
Upon arrival in Portugal, after winning the Saudi championship with Al Nassr, Jorge Jesus highlighted the importance of choosing a coach for the success of any club.
“The most important piece in a team is the coach. From the moment you don’t get the coach right, everything gets complicated”, said the Portuguese coach.
Regarding Marco Silva, Jesus recognized the merit of the Portuguese coach and assured that he believes in his capabilities: “He is a coach who has been in Portugal training, he hasn’t coached a great team, but he also hasn’t coached a great team in England, which is Fulham. However, I believe in Marco Silva’s work”, added the coach, born in Amadora.
It is worth remembering that Marco Silva managed Sporting in the 2014/15 season, having won the Portuguese Cup.
