Caiado says he doesn’t rise in the polls because there was no debate and 50% are unaware of him

The former governor of Goiás and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), stated that he has not yet risen in the polls because there was no debate and 50% of people do not know him. He gave an interview to Free Channelfrom Band TV, which will air this Sunday night.

“I am unknown by almost 50% of the population. Secondly, no one has a recall of who has been in the presidency of the Republic, which is Lula and the PT for 5 terms”, stated Caiado.

According to him, his reactions to the accusations against Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) were not light, but he argued that a split cannot be created within the right as the objective is to defeat the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Caiado says he doesn't rise in the polls because there was no debate and 50% are unaware of him

“For one reason only. We didn’t have a debate. We didn’t have the opportunity to discuss, one-on-one, who really knows, who has the moral authority to sit in the chair, who has the courage to face violence, crime, corruption,” he said.

Asked why voters should choose him, Caiado stated that the choice will be made by whoever delivers the most and that Lula and Bolsonaro did not deliver what was expected.

“The PT already had the opportunity to govern the country in 2018, but it didn’t deliver. Then the PT returned. Why doesn’t the PT return to Goiás for the next 100 years? Because the government delivered to society above what it expected”, he added.
