Many of us are familiar with the problem: When ordering in restaurants, should you stick to what you know or try something new? This question also preoccupied the great physicist and Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman in the 1970s when he sat with his friend Ralph Leighton in a Thai restaurant called Indra in Glendale, California. Leighton was trying to decide whether he should go back to the ginger chicken he always ate or whether it was time to try something new.
