Messages published by Intercept Brasil this Tuesday (2) reveal that , owner of , gave priority to financing the film “” after pressure from the senator ().
The decision was taken amid liquidity difficulties at the bank. In conversation with his brother-in-law, pastor and businessman Fabiano Zettel, responsible for operationalizing disbursements from the banker’s financial group, Vorcaro even stated that the project was “the most important shot”.
The website had already revealed negotiations to finance the feature film about former president Jair Bolsonaro and the making of millionaire contributions to the project. The new dialogues, however, show how the investment was handled internally by Banco Master’s controller.
According to the publication, the conversations took place in January 2025, when Zettel was concentrating on the execution of personal and business payments linked to Vorcaro. In one of the messages reproduced by the report, he informs the banker that there was a total of “55.5 million” in pending disbursements, without specifying the currency.
On the 20th of that month, the date scheduled for one of the contributions to the film, businessman Thiago Miranda, appointed as intermediary in the negotiations, approached Vorcaro to demand speed in the release of resources. In the message, he states that the deadline had reached the limit and that he had already discussed the matter with Zettel.
Miranda also sent the banker a screenshot of a conversation attributed to Flávio Bolsonaro. In it, the senator asks for “a boost” to be given to the investor’s legal response to unlock the operation. The parliamentarian also mentions the need to move quickly because the film’s screenwriter would only be committed until January.
After receiving the charge, Vorcaro responded that he would check the situation. In the following days, he began directly monitoring the progress of payments related to the film, according to messages published by The Intercept.
In a conversation with Zettel, the banker questions whether the project was included among the disbursements being processed. The brother-in-law responds no, stating that the flow involved was high and mentioning a payment schedule in dollars. The reference coincides with documents previously revealed by the website, which point to a forecast of almost US$24 million in contributions to the film, a value equivalent to around R$134 million at the price at the time.
The most relevant exchange of messages takes place on January 28th. Vorcaro asks if payment for the film had been made. Zettel responds no, citing a lack of inflow of resources in previous weeks. It then informs that the project was not part of the list of financial priorities that were being carried out at that time. It is then that Vorcaro determines the change in priority. “This is the most important thing,” he writes.
The Intercept claims to have reached out to Daniel Vorcaro, Fabiano Zettel, Flávio Bolsonaro and Thiago Miranda to comment on the content of the messages. According to the website, there was no response until the report was published.
