Israeli military forces carried out new airstrikes against the southern suburbs of Beirut this Sunday, just days after the ceasefire agreement negotiated in Washington came into force.
Residents of the capital reported hearing three explosions in the urban region, but there is still no detailed information on the targets hit or records of victims.
This is the second time that the territory has been bombed since the first pact signed between Lebanon and Israel, on April 17, although ground clashes and daily incursions continue to occur in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the actions took place in retaliation for previous shots fired by the Hezbollah group towards northern Israel. To date, the Lebanese organization has not claimed responsibility for these attacks.
At the same time, Iranian state news agency IRNA reported that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran to deliver a message from Pakistani Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.
The ruler of the Islamic Republic has not made public appearances since taking power, shortly after his father was killed on the first day of the war, on February 28. The content of the official document sent by the Pakistani command was not revealed by local authorities.

During the diplomatic mission, Naqvi met with Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, on Saturday night, and held talks with Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, on Sunday morning.
According to the Pakistani government, Islamabad has the support of regional nations, including Qatar, Türkiye and Egypt, to try to bring Washington and Tehran closer together. The action plan seeks to reduce international geopolitical tensions and ensure the necessary security for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
