Bulovka Faculty Hospital in Prague on Wednesday released the American doctor who was hospitalized in mid-May due to suspicion of Ebola infection. He was in quarantine for 21 days. In an interview with Czech Television shortly before his release, he said that he had not felt any symptoms during the entire time. He added that the separation from his family was difficult for him, but he managed the isolation well. He thanked FN Bulovka for accepting him and also the Czech government for making it possible. “I want to emphasize that the real story is not about me, but about what is happening in the Congo,” he pointed out.
The American arrived in Prague on May 21 on a special plane and he was transported from the airport in a closed box by ambulance to the hospital. He was there for 21 days in a special closed biobox, into which medical personnel had to enter in protective clothing.
