At the beginning of May, the story of a shocking fine of 1,500 euros, imposed by inspectors on the owner of a langoustine stall in Kvetoslavov, circulated in Slovakia. The reason was that the diacritics in the name of the sold product were missing from the receipt. The case took a turn after a few days, the Financial Administration stopped the process and returned the fat amount he had paid to the seller.
FS President Jozef Kiss emphasized that the control itself was strictly based on the provisions of the Sales Registration Act and that the mentioned entrepreneur had violated the law. „It is unequivocal in that the cashier’s receipt must have the requirements specified in the law, and the minimum fine is also specified in the law. Therefore, I want to declare that the employees of FS, who did this particular check, checked the legal norm. They didn’t invent anything, they didn’t do any extra work, they based themselves on what the law imposed on them,” underlined Kiss.
According to Anotín’s father, the businessman was suffering from health problems. The stress of the last period certainly did not help him. “He had cirrhosis of the liver. He had been abstinent for about 20 years, but now it showed. His kidneys failed and on top of that he got pneumonia. After that it went quickly,” he revealed the sad truth.
Pašek fought at the end of his life. “Last week he was in the hospital for the first time and he didn’t want to stay there. He signed the reverse and went home. On Saturday we went to the emergency room again. He also didn’t want to stay there and was taken away by an ambulance again on Monday” continued the hurt father.
According to Martina F. Činovská, spokeswoman for the Operation Center of the Slovak Emergency Medical Service, the man was transported to a hospital in Ružinov, Bratislava. He never came back from the hospital. “That evening they called us saying that he was finishing and to come in the morning to say goodbye… We arrived on Tuesday morning, and he didn’t notice it anymore, he was out. We arrived in the afternoon. He died in my arms,” he added.
