Brussels – The digital euro has cleared an important hurdle in Brussels. Economic and monetary politicians in the European Parliament clearly advocated the introduction of an electronic form of the common currency. In a vote in the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee, 43 MPs voted in favor and 14 MPs voted against. There was one abstention, according to a statement.
