Mónica Sintra was on the ‘Júlia’ program this Thursday, June 25th, talking to Júlia Pinheiro about her personal and professional life.
At some point, and because he recently underwent cosmetic surgery in the neck region- lifting facial deep plane– the singer explained in detail why she went ahead with the operation.
“When we are singing or when we are talking for a while, these muscles are always activated and therefore it is normal for there to be greater wear and tear here (…). This whole area, everything here has obviously to do with weight fluctuations, but also with us using this device so much. And they take a lot of photos, when I was singing I was photographed a lot and I saw the muscles here and I saw the talk, I didn’t like it and now look, it doesn’t exist”he began by saying.
Confronted about whether the procedure “affects the performance“, Mónica Sintra explained that this does not have any implications on the vocal cords, however, reporting a small “scare” that she experienced after the operation.
“No, not at all. In fact, at the time, when I came out of surgery, I had no voice. And I thought: “What have I done?” very cold, the air conditioning is on and when I wake up… It was just that, it was just that, it was that silly scare”he admitted.
