President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) announced this Thursday, 25th, through X, that he will send humanitarian aid to Venezuela, devastated by earthquakes whose magnitude varied between 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale. According to the president, 36 firefighters from the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Paraná, four technicians from the National Civil Defense and four technicians from the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) will be sent this Friday, the 26th.
The Brazilian government will also send nine tons of equipment this Friday to help search for and help victims of the earthquake.
On Saturday, the 27th, the Brazilian government will send one hundred water purifiers with solar panels, medicines and medical supplies to Venezuela. Equipment will also be sent to set up a field hospital.

During an event in Ponta Porã (MS) this Thursday, Lula said that he had called the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, in the morning and asked about the needs of the neighboring country. In the publication on X, Lula cited the conversation again and expressed solidarity.
“I spoke by phone today with the president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, to show the Brazilian government’s solidarity with the Venezuelan population victimized by Wednesday’s earthquakes and define the best way to provide support to the neighboring country”, stated the president on X.
