Charles III of England has paid almost 35 million euros (30 million pounds) to the public treasury. It is the first time that the British royal house details the exact amount of taxes paid by the monarch since Elizabeth II voluntarily agreed to contribute to the treasury in 1993. Buckingham Palace wants to redouble its transparency efforts, the free use it made of, and even the businesses from which it benefited from the subletting of at least three country houses included in the perimeter of the royal property.
