The West Slovak Water Company Nitra has interrupted the supply of drinking water in Nové Cabaj, a local part of the Cabaj – Čápor village in the Nitra district, since Monday. The reason for this is the decrease in the yield of water at the water sources, from which the supply of drinking water in the locality is ensured, the company informed.
Until the situation stabilizes, the supply of drinking water will be interrupted from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. It will be renewed in two-hour intervals from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The West Slovak Water Company repeatedly warns residents about the need to conserve drinking water. It urges them not to use water for watering gardens, lawns, playgrounds, public spaces, filling pools or washing cars. “Nevertheless, we have recorded increased withdrawals, which cause problems with the supply of drinking water,” stated Margita Kršáková, director of the Nitra spin-off plant.
