Larry Ellison is once again surpassed by Zuckerberg among the richest in the world

Larry Ellison has lost around US$100 billion in assets since the beginning of June, amid the sharp drop in Oracle shares, according to a survey by Forbes.

As a result, the company’s co-founder and chairman fell to seventh place among the richest people in the world, behind Mark Zuckerberg.

Oracle shares have fallen sharply in recent weeks, after reaching an intraday high at the beginning of the month. Just last week, the stock had its worst performance since 2001.

Larry Ellison is once again surpassed by Zuckerberg among the richest in the world

This Monday, the shares even showed a slight increase, but insufficient to reverse the losses accumulated in the period.

At the same time, the appreciation of Meta’s shares helped boost Zuckerberg’s fortune, which once again surpassed Ellison in the rankings.

At the beginning of June, the Oracle executive had surpassed the US$300 billion mark and was momentarily in second place globally, behind only Elon Musk.

Part of the market’s frustration with Oracle came after the release of the sales outlook for fiscal 2027.

Although the company reported quarterly revenue and earnings per share above estimates and strong growth in the cloud infrastructure division, analysts said the future projection disappointed investors.
