The president of the Senate, (União-AP), stated, this Tuesday (June 30, 2026), that he is confident that the senator (PT-BA) will prove his innocence after being the target of Operation Compliance Zero, by the Federal Police.
In his speech, Alcolumbre said that he had “a very frank conversation” with Wagner and stated that the senator could “count in full” with your “defense” and your “support”.
The president also criticized the Brazilian Judiciary, stating that the country is “condemning all people before the investigation is concluded and before the merits of the investigation are concluded, giving the process of broad defense and the adversarial process for all Brazilians”.
Alcolumbre also signaled support for the senator (PT-PE), who gave her 1st speech in plenary as leader of the Government in the Senate after assuming the position previously held by Wagner. He said he recognized the congresswoman’s ability to articulate and was “very happy” with the meeting they had in the morning.
