Moderator and actor Martin Nikodým (55) is a native of Bratislava. Since 2007, he has been living in the Devín district of Bratislava, which enchanted him. He originally lived in a luxurious three-story villa with six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a Finnish sauna, but after divorcing his wife Michaela, he decided to sell it in the summer of 2018.
He asked an astronomical 899,000 euros for the luxurious property, after months of waiting he lowered the price and finally managed to sell the villa. He never wished for a smaller house with a bigger garden where he could devote himself to his beloved bees and also in it to farm.
In the end, however, he only bought a large piece of land and went to live in a rented apartment in Bratislava. Before Christmas 2023, he moved again, but already to a house that is only a short distance from the land with bees. He remained faithful to Devin. Nikodym is a nature lover, so he created an oasis of peace in his garden.
The presenter and beekeeper in one tries to spread awareness about gardening. “A lawn is a lot of work and there is nothing of it, just a green area. Flowers, meadows and a blooming garden are better. It is more beautiful and attracts bees, butterflies, bumblebees and other pollinators.” he explained in an interview for the magazine He has three raised beds at home and his pride is a huge basil, which is admired by every visitor.
Even though Nikodym lives in the capital, he already has wild nature behind the fence. Thanks to this, an interesting perspective was presented to the moderator these days. He immediately pulled out his cell phone and started recording. After dark, they came to graze just a short distance beyond his property four spotted deer.
