The German Federal Prosecutor’s Office filed the first indictment in the case of attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines in September 2022 against a Ukrainian who allegedly helped organize them. According to investigators, he led the sabotage team and was also the commander of the Andromeda sailboat used in the attacks. He was extradited to pretrial detention in Hamburg from Italy, where the authorities detained him last summer while on vacation.

According to the knowledge of German investigators, the Federal Court of Justice wrote about the course of the sabotage action in the decision by which it rejected Serhij K.’s appeal against the detention.
