The Portuguese international winger, European champion for Portugal at Euro 2016, announced on Sunday on social media the end of his career, at the age of 38, at a time when he was representing Estrela da Amadora in the I Liga, a club from his hometown.
Manchester United highlighted, this Monday, the retirement of the “skilled winger” Nani from football, with a text and a video dedicated to the European champion for the English club, which he represented from 2007 to 2014.
The English club recalls that Nani helped Sir Alex Ferguson’s team win four Premier League titles and was influential in the 2008 Champions League triumph over Chelsea in Moscow, converting one of the shoot-out penalties.

Nani, trained at Sporting and who arrived at the Reds in 2007, the same day that the signing of the Brazilian midfielder ex-FC Porto Anderson was also announced, also said that “it’s time to turn the page” and focus on “new goals and dreams.”
