The perfect dumpling dough consists of only three ingredients combined in perfect proportions. There is no need to add anything else – thanks to this it will be soft and flexible and melt in your mouth. Using warm water will allow you to roll and shape the dough better because it will not stick to your hands so much. This cake will perfectly hide any filling – both savory and sweet. It will be a hit before Christmas Eve and beyond.
Ingredients:
- 250 g of wheat flour,
- 175 ml of warm water,
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
How to do it:
In a medium bowl, mix flour and salt. Make a hole and pour half of the water slowly. Knead pre-bake the dough in a bowl, adding the remaining liquid every now and then.
Transfer the dough to the board. If it is too sticky, add flour a teaspoon at a time. If it is too dry and difficult to form into a ball, add a teaspoon of water. Knead the mass briefly until a uniform consistency is obtained. Divide the ball into two parts – put one back into the bowl and cover it with a linen cloth.
The rest of the dough Roll out thinly on the countersprinkling with flour if necessary. Perfect the dough for dumplings should be 1-2 mm thickbe flexible and not tear.
Using a glass or a special dumpling mold cut out circles. Place a spoonful of your favorite filling insideand then glue the edges together, pressing them well together. If you want, you can make a decorative ruffle.
Throw the dumplings into salted boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes after they float to the surface. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate greased with butter.
