Defender Gustavo Gómez revealed that the Palm trees he consulted with him about three Paraguayan players, his teammates: Mathías Villasanti, Alex Arce and Isidro Pitta.
The defender was excited about the possibility of Verdão signing more athletes from his country.
“I was asked about Alex Arce, Pitta and Villasanti. I’m always pushing a little to have a Paraguayan teammate at Palmeiras, because I’ve been there for seven years and they’ve never brought one,” he said, in an interview with Versus radiofrom Paraguay.
Gustavo Gómez, however, cooled the situation and spoke about the importance of the work of the board of directors in the search for reinforcements, led by Leila Pereira (president) and Anderson Barros (football director).
“We have a super good relationship with the president. It is a source of pride for all of us to have a woman as president, who is a real leader, I get along very well with her. But the person in charge of all negotiations at Palmeiras is the sporting director, it is a super professional team in every way, so that is the responsibility of Anderson Barros. But hopefully at some point I can have a Paraguayan companion so I can share a tererê”, he concluded.
Palmeiras negotiates with the trio?
Palmeiras is in talks with Grêmio to sign Mathías Villasanti, according to the player’s agent, Renato Bittar. In an interview with the Paraguayan press, he revealed that he is trying to make the business viable with the people of Rio Grande do Sul.
Regarding Alex Arce, he consulted to find out more information about the LDU center forward, from Ecuador, but there was no progress towards an official proposal. At this point, a transfer is unlikely to happen.
Isidro Pitta, from Cuiabá, has no ongoing negotiations with Alviverde and should be signed by Red Bull Bragantino.
