New York – US folk singer Peter Yarrow from the trio Peter, Paul and Mary has died at the age of 86. The band enjoyed success in the 1960s, including the 1969 song written by John Denver Leaving on a Jet Plane. Also a cover of Bob Dylan’s Blowing in the Wind had made it high up in the charts. A spokesman confirmed that Yarrow died surrounded by his family.
