It is the second postponement of the announcement due to the fires in Los Angeles; ceremony is scheduled for March 2
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences postponed this Monday (January 13, 2025) the announcement of the nominations for the 2025 Oscar. Originally scheduled for January 17th, the list will be until the 23rd. This is the 2nd time that the institution has postponed the date to list the nominees for the award. The fire in the city of Los Angeles, California (United States), was the main reason for the decision.
