The senator (Republicans-DF) should meet on February 7th with members of the party to pressure the government (PT) to mediate the alleged case, as stated by the Ukrainian government.

The Ukrainian government claims that families from occupied regions were forced to enroll their children in schools run by Russia and that, after being sent to Russian territory, the children did not return.
In a letter sent to Itamaraty, the senator states that she became aware of the case during a visit to the Eastern European country between the end of November and the beginning of December, alongside senators (União-PR) and Magno Malta (PL-ES). Moro is also expected to participate in the meeting with Itamaraty in February.
“Given the seriousness of the information received, I respectfully request the possibility of being received by Your Excellency to discuss developments and possible actions aimed at protecting Ukrainian children”, says the document.
Damares’ objective is for the Brazilian government to mediate between the two countries to try to repatriate Ukrainian children.
