Rates, rates, rates. Now Russia may also be subject to tariffs, but also US taxes and fees. To prevent this from happening, the new North American president has one condition

After several threats from all directions, it is Russia’s turn to also join in on Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

The president of the United States has just threatened his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, with a “major” increase in taxes, tariffs and sanctions if peace is not achieved in Ukraine.

“I don’t want to hurt Russia,” he wrote on the social network Truth Social.

“I love the Russian people and I have always had a great relationship with President Putin,” he said, recalling the Soviet Union’s role as a member of the Allies in World War II.

But this is not enough. “That said, I will do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin, a big favor. Resolve now and stop this ridiculous war”, he reiterated, warning that “it will only get worse”.

“If we don’t reach an agreement soon, I have no choice but to apply higher taxes, tariffs and sanctions on everything sold by Russia to the United States,” he stressed, ensuring that this is something easy to do.

“We can do this easily, or the hard way – the best way is always better”, he warned, asking that an agreement be reached, so that “no more lives are lost”.

After focusing the first hours of his second presidency on resolving what he considers to be internal problems, Donald Trump now turns his attention to Russia, making it clear that he has a good connection with Vladimir Putin, but that he really wants a “peacemaker” legacy. word used by himself when taking office.
