With the presence of distinguished guests, an ice cream shop in São Paulo that is a partner of the (Landless Rural Workers Movement) was inaugurated last Saturday (16).
The opening of Gelado do Campo, in the Barra Funda neighborhood (west zone), was attended by former minister Paulo Teixeira, state deputy Eduardo Suplicy and
Valentino is a friend of chef Francisco Sant’Ana, who is an MST partner in the venture.
The ice cream shop specializes in family farming products, coming from settlements in the region. The partnership began with the supply of products to the Ice Cream School, run by Sant’Ana.
The place offers flavors such as cashew nuts, pineapple with lemongrass and lemon with lemon balm, as well as coffee, juices, sweets, savory snacks and sandwiches. There will also be cultural programming on weekends.
The initiative is part of an action by the MST to expand its operations, which also involves the sale of rural products and the promotion of an annual fair in the Água Branca park, in São Paulo.
