In December last year, the Ministry of Defense bought two once a private nozzle for almost € 48 million without a competition. The defense department is defended by the fact that it was a good price and compared it to the prices of used cars. New machines of this type are sold for $ 60 to $ 70 million.
Dictator’s daughter
One of the nozzles that now belongs to Slovakia was used by the daughter of the long -time Kazakh dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev, he reports. He was the president of the country from the beginning of the 1990s until 2019, his government was accompanied by corruption scandals.
He did not give up with the arrival of the new President Kassym-Nomart Tokayev, who was behind the selection. After protests against the high fuel prices, Tokayev took over the role of the head of the Security Council, and Nazarbayev loved ones decided to fly to Kirgizstan-just in a private aircraft with a 9H-AVA registration number, which after the new owner Slovakia. However, the aircraft is not yet in Slovakia, it is located in London, where it arrived from Kazakhstan.
Unclear background of the company
The Ministry of Nurets bought from United Wings, Florida companies. However, as ICJK claims, the company in Eastern Europe is represented by Drazen Mikašinovič, a person who has a connection to the drug gang Grupo America. Until recently, she was reported on her site as a representative for Eastern Europe. After journalists turned to the company with questions, United Wings Mikašinovič withdrew from the web.
However, the problem is that the company has not yet shown its real owners in the so -called anti -page register. This violates the Slovak law. Every company that makes a business with the state, regardless of its origin, must be entered in this register.
Purchasing intermediary?
There is a suspicion that Florida United Wings is only an mediator for the sale of Kazakh and Canadian aircraft. It is not clear who is the real owner of the United Wings International. ICJK revealed that the second of the nozzles, the Bombardier 5000 with the C-FDIL registration, was recently in Aurora Jet, Canada.
After the Canadian company sent questions, the nozzle disappeared from the offer. The question remains, why Aurora Jet did not deal with the Slovak Ministry directly, but sold an aircraft through the United Wings International intermediary.
ICJK therefore turned to lawyer Andrej Leontiel from the TaylorWessing office, according to which the state has two options in this case. The first is to recognize the validity of the contract, but in this case, the Ministry has the right to stop the payment and “threatening withdrawal from the contract to force the business partner not to fulfill its obligation.”
