The parliamentary front of the free market has launched a petition to reverse, on the grounds that there is high.
Member of the Front, the Federal Deputy (Novo-SP) defends the right of choice of users. “The prohibition of service not only disrespects basic principles of free enterprise, but also penalizes precisely those that depend most from this means of transport,” says the parliamentarian.
He argues that the motorcycle taxi service is an efficient and accessible alternative for the displacement of C, D and E. “St. Paul has a serious obstacle to urban mobility, forbidding MotaApp service means closing eyes to a reality already put into the most vulnerable social classes,” he says.
Rodrigo Marinho, executive director of Instituto Livre Market, linked to the front, argues that the capital’s urban mobility “cannot be hostage to restrictions that limit innovation and impair both workers and users.”
The parliamentary front cites estimates that would show that more than 1 billion trips have been made in Brazil, carrying 40 million passengers in more than 3,300 cities. In São Paulo, in two weeks, there were 500,000 trips without serious accidents, with 170,000 users.
