O Guinness World Records This Thursday attributed the classification of “Greatest Diorama of Lego Pieces in the World” to an exhibition of Legos da Lourinhã.
O Guiness Book was, on the morning of Thursday, in the park, in Lourinhãto evaluate the size of its huge and permanent DIORAMA DE LEGOS.
And confirmed: it’s really the “Biggest in the world”.
Second Tiago MarquesBrickopolis Lourinhã head, told Lusa, Diorama occupies an area of 70 square meters, beating the difference of 23 meters the record reached with another in China in 2024.
The work was built with “Hundreds of thousands of pieces”with over 1,200 minifigures, in more than 850 hours of assembly over nine months, involving a team of 25.
In it were recreated iconic locations and historical events of Portugal, including the Dino Park from Lourinhã, the Great Wave of Nazareththe typical houses of Costa Nova (Aveiro), a traditional village from the west, the Popular fairmedieval recreations, the Lisbon Airport in the 1950s and the Eastern Zone of Lisbon before Expo 98.
The work is part of Brickopolis, a pavilion with a permanent exhibition of Legos, with about five million pieces in an area of 750 square meters.
O Investment of 2.7 million euros It was inaugurated last year by the Dinosaur Park of Lourinhã, in the district of Lisbon.
The show is divided into three rooms:
- One with thematic collections such as “Star Wars”, “Pirate Bay” and “Wild West”;
- another dedicated to the vast city Brickopolis;
- And the last with replicas of monuments from around the world, such as the emblematic Taj Mahal, the Colosseum of Rome or the famous Big Ben.
