Pamela Anderson seems to be going through a rebirth at this time of her career.
Confident in her own skin to start a new beauty revolution, critically acclaimed and nominated for awards for her role in last year’s “The Last Showgirl” movie, and possibly her castmate in “Run the police coming”, the actress has received support from friends and fans.
She and Neeson, but during the new movie promotional tour generated many speculation. Even other celebrities seem interested, Jamie Lee Curtis defended whatever happens between Anderson and Neeson.
“With all due respect to pop culture, if in this relationship – God bless both – leave them alone,” Curtis told VT in a recently published clip. “Let them like each other!”
She initially reached fame after appearing on the Jumbotron screen during a football game in 1989, which eventually led her to be selected as Playboy’s Playmate in February 1990, opening doors for her acting career.

“Pamela, a love story” not only revived the public’s interest in Anderson, but also attracted the attention of filmmaker Gia Coppola, who was climbing the protagonist of his movie “The Last Showgirl”. The film portrays Shelly, a glamorous showgirl that should plan his future when his show is closed abruptly after 30 years, according to the synopsis.
“I couldn’t really visualize who would be suitable for Shelly’s role,” Coppola said during a question and answers session after an exhibition. “I thought of Marilyn Monroe or actresses who were no longer present, no one else seemed suitable.”
Anderson’s documentary showed so many parallels between the actress and the character the director wanted to give life, Coppola said at the time.
“I really wanted to collaborate with her,” added the director. “I could see his hunger to express his talents in a dramatic way.”
Not only has it earned him acclaim, but also nominations to the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as a considerable buzz for the Oscars. Despite this buzz, Anderson ended up not being nominated for the Oscar, something she seemed to be at peace.
“I always say that victory is at work,” about being out of the Oscar. “I could do something I really love, and I needed to do it for my soul.”
