Rome/Milan – Violent storms hit large parts of Italy on Saturday. A partly dramatic weather picture was particularly evident in the north: the sky darkened almost black, storm gusts swept across the landscape. In the Lombardy, almost 40 kilometers northeast of Milan between Verzio and Suisio, a tornado, according to the fire brigade, stole several trees and covered house roofs.
