A person responsible for a Jordanian charitable organization linked to the government announced on Wednesday the suspension of humanitarian aid releases on the Gaza Strip, threatened by hunger and devastated by war. “Air releases that allowed to send much of the aid to Gaza are suspended these days,” Hussein al-Shabli, general secretary of the Hachemita Jordana charitable organization, told AFP. According to this person responsible, other “provisions” are being prepared to continue sending help to the Palestinian territory, besieged by Israel since the beginning of the war and where about two million inhabitants live. The conflict began after the attack of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023. The last help launch took place on August 26, with the participation of Jordan airplanes, United Arab Emirates, Germany and Indonesia, according to the Jordanian army, which coordinated these operations from its resumption at the end of July with the approval of Israel.
