The Secretariat of Security of the (Supreme Federal Court) reported on Tuesday (9) that the fire in ten chemical bathrooms installed in the Esplanade of Ministries, in downtown Brasilia, was criminal.
The Federal District Fire Department was fired around 11:20 to contain the flames, which began near the national theater. The fire spread rapidly, but was controlled by the corporation.
The episode occurred on the same day the minister began the sagging of the coup plot, a process in which former President Jair Bolsonaro is one of the defendants.
“Because of the high propagation speed, it is suspected, in preliminary analysis, that the fire may have been criminal,” the STF secretary said in a statement.
The Fire Department began the expertise on site to investigate the causes. The Military Police also follow the occurrence.
The chemical toilets were part of the structure set up for the September 7 parade. This year, “Brazil of the Future” and COP30, the UN climate conference that will be held in November in Belém.
