The government of President Luiz Inacio da Silva () articulates include in a ministerial declaration of the G77, a group that brings together dozens of developing countries, a criticism of that of the president.
Without directing the US directly, the text under negotiation should express opposition to the imposition of arbitrary and abusive tariffs, in violation of WTO rules, and request their elimination.
The declaration must also condemn threats to use force and unilateral measures of coercive character, in another message to Trump’s politics.
The document is expected to be adopted, with the support of China, at the G77 chancelers meeting on September 24 in New York.
