Vienna – The question of whether Israel should take part in the Eurovision Song Contest of Vienna, despite the Gaza War next year, threatens to split the European Broadcasting Union and its members. For weeks, the debate and countries such as Spain, Ireland or the Netherlands announced that it is not excluded to Vienna if Israel should not be excluded. Now the EBU has reacted. On Thursday it was decided to convene an extraordinary general assembly in early November.
