One would have loved to have seen one of the gigantic works of art by El Anatsui in the Vienna State Opera. You do that with this year’s cladding of the Iron Curtain. However, these are not the airy installations that, like huge, shilling mobiles in all possible color nuances, but actually consist of waste such as packaging for which the 81-year-old artist is known. With them, for example, he hung the 35 meter high turbine hall of the Tate Modern in London in 2023.
