Actress Meryl Streep, 76, used a pair of earrings by Brazilian designer Fernando Jorge during the recordings of the movie “The Devil wears Prada 2”, on Sunday (28). The cinema star wore the pieces when she staged the iconic meeting between her character in the feature, Miranda Priestly, and Anna Wintour.
The Orbit Large Stud earring is one of the items in the surround collection and was made of 18K yellow gold with 0.4 carats of bright cutting diamonds and hand -to -hand -carved seeds. The value of the play was not disclosed by the brand team, which has already wore names like Gwyneth Paltrow, Adele e Fernanda Torres.
Based on the 2003 best-seller written by Lauren Weisberger, who had worked as Wintour’s personal assistant on Vogue, the film tells the story of an aspiring writer (Anne Hathaway) who gets a job in an important fashion magazine under the command of a relentless publisher.
During a recent participation in the “The New Yorker Radio Hour” podcast, the powerful figure of fashion played with host David Remnick saying it was the premiere of the feature film “using Prada, having the slightest idea of what the movie would be like.”
“First, it was Meryl Streep, which was fantastic,” said Wintour. “And then I went to watch the movie and found it a lot of fun. It was very funny.”
