Undersecretary of Praia Grande is the target of searching for the death of former delegate

The Civil Police of São Paulo conducted, on Monday, 29, searches and seizure at eight addresses of Baixada Santista in operation related to the execution of former General Ruy Ferraz Fontes, killed on the 15th, in Praia Grande. He was murdered after leaving City Hall, where he worked as Secretary of Administration.

One of the search addresses was the Undersecretary of Management and Technology of Praia Grande, Sandro Rogério Pardini. With him were seized cell phone, computers, three pistols, $ 50,000 in cash, a thousand euros and $ 10,000 in his residence. One of the police investigation lines is that the execution was motivated by the work that Ruy Fontes was in front of the City Hall.

Pardini’s defense states that the servant denies any participation in the crime that victimized the former general, and that the Undersecretary is available to the authorities to collaborate with the investigations.

“We emphasize that the seized objects and goods have no relation to the facts, which was proven by the documentation attached and confirmed in the clarifications provided by Sandro, it is emphasized, heard as witness. In addition, we reinforced that Sandro has a life completely focused on lawful work and care for his family,” said lawyer Octavio Rolim, by means of note.

The operation was coordinated by the Department of Homicides and Person Protection (DHPP), which investigates the case, and was supported by the Santos and Praia Grande Civil Police. The search and seizure warrants were fulfilled at addresses in the municipalities of Santos, Praia Grande and São Vicente.

The State Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) chose not to provide more details “to ensure the autonomy of police work”. “DHPP continues to strictly investigate all circumstances of the case,” the folder said.

So far, four suspects are already arrested, including Rafael Marcell Dias Simões, the Jaguar, a man named by investigations as one of the possible perpetrators of the shots that hit the former delegate. His defense was not found.

Luiz Henrique Santos Batista, known as “Fofão”, Dahesly Oliveira Pires and William Silva Marques are also arrested. Four other suspects were identified and have arrest warrants issued by the court. They are at large and are sought. The report did not find the defenses of the suspects.

The secretary’s murder completed two weeks on Monday. Investigations have not yet reached the principals or the motivation of the crime. The Secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite, however, says he is sure that the first command of the capital (CCP) is behind the case.

“There is no doubt about the involvement of the CCP, especially for the participation of Mascherano (one of the fugitives). Organized crime participated in the execution,” Derrite said at a press conference held last week.

“We remain with two lines of research on motivation,” says the chief of the portfolio, who cites Ruy’s history in combating the CCP – he was responsible for indicting the entire summit of the organization in 2006 – or “the current function as secretary of Praia Grande administration,” said the secretary.
