The Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, this Friday (10) once again mocked the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, saying that he can now respond to him, due to the fact that his party colleague had exceeded 1.5% of voting intentions in the polls.
“He can now ask me a question that I can already answer,” he said, while participating in an event by the Esfera Brasil group, in Belém.
Last Wednesday (8), Sabino said he would only respond to Caiado when he exceeded 1.5%
The statement was made at the end of a meeting of the National Executive of União Brasil for not following party guidelines to hand over his position. Caiado, pre-candidate for president, was one of the most critical against the minister.
“Caiaado has, like any Brazilian, the legitimacy to seek the position he wants to seek. I personally disagree ideologically with the position he has been taking,” he stated.
Sabino said he remains in government for defending Lula’s re-election. “I think all Brazilians are seeing the advances of the federal government, the advances of President Lula, the number of jobs, the largest salary in the history of Brazil, Brazilians traveling like never before, the infrastructure works. There is no way not to recognize it,” he stated.
During participation in one of the event’s debates, Sabino stated that it would be “a great cowardice to abandon the ministry at this moment”. “Public men need to have courage to assume their responsibilities”, he declared.
