The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced a 100% tariff on items imported from China, this Friday (10). Trump said the tariff will be imposed on top of any other tariff already paid by China and that, starting November 1, the US will also impose export controls on any and all critical software.
The Republican justified the measure by saying that Beijing “took an extraordinarily aggressive position” by reporting that, starting November 1, 2025, it will impose large-scale export controls on practically all products it manufactures.
“This affects ALL countries, without exception, and was obviously a plan created by them years ago. It is absolutely unprecedented in International Trade and a moral disgrace in relation to other nations”, he wrote in the post.
