A truck accident on Wednesday (October 15) evening on road II/579 between Skačany and Hradišť in the Partizánske district resulted in the injury of its driver. Four members of the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) from Partizánske intervened with two vehicles, the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Trenčín reported on Thursday.
As a result of the accident, the tanker truck was left in a ditch next to the road, overturned on its side. There was no damage to the tank or leakage of the transported substance. “After the arrival of the fire brigade, paramedics of the Rescue Health Service intervened at the scene of the incident, providing the injured driver with pre-medical assistance and initial treatment,” HaZZ said.
Firefighters from Partizánske secured the scene of the traffic accident and captured a small amount of operating fluids that escaped from the vehicle. “The place of the leak was subsequently sealed and the spilled liquid was covered with an absorbent material. Subsequently, fire-fighting measures were carried out on the crashed vehicle, after which the scene was handed over to the police.added HaZZ.
